I own the SV470XVT and having seen my parents Panasonic TH-46PZ800U think they got the raw end of the deal. My picture quality (albeit with a little tweaking of settings as is normal) is head and shoulders above theirs and though I have never encountered a tv that has ideal sound I would say they have about the same quality in those terms. For me the real deciding factor is the 120hz trumotion technology on my Vizio which just makes watching sports amazing. You don't miss a thing - some people get queasy it's so realistic. When I can save almost a thousand bucks and get better performance in a tv, I'm going with the Vizio.
