It's alright if someone hacks into Sarah Palin's email account, but can you even imagine what would happen if someone hacked into Obama's or Biden's?? The world would be flipped upside down trying to find the culprit and the left-wing media would have a field day about how unsafe America is and yada yada yada. Said it before and I'll say it again.

This has nothing to do w/ the e-mail account being Palin's and not Obama/Bidens. The kid is facing 5 years in jail and a $250,000 fine. Frankly, the only reason he is potential facing such stingent penalites is the fact that it is Palin's account.
At least they did some good by hacking into her account--it alerts everyone about Palin's misuse of private e-mail regarding state matters. This is unacceptable and violates regulator action regarding gov't communication.
My final point, on other boards I have seen absurd comments linking this to the Democrats once again subjugating the Republicans. Alright the kid's dad is a Democrat in Congress, but honestly I bet there is no one more pissed about the kids actions than his father whose political career is potentially ruined by this incident. This is in no way a reflection of the Democrats it is merely the fault of a kid who crossed over one too many boundaries in the seemingly unpoliced world of the internet.

That is what you get for using web based email. Its not the most secure. If your password is that easy to aquire, then its time to rethink your password. Had they just gone in and deleted all her emails and done nothing else . No one would have even seen this on the news.

C'mon, we work in I.T. and we know most hacks are done for profit. The profit here is to smear the "opposing" team. He probably overhears his parents talking about Palin, so he acted.
