I'm still trying to sort this out. This may turn out to be a great move by HP, but it is based on Sepaton's technology which has been considered across the industry to be 3rd tier. This doesn't mean that it is bad or that it doesn't work, but there is not much brand recognition and they certainly are not in the top 3 of VTL developers. I'd like to see HP distinguish this new VTL/DeDupe combo from the competition to better understand their advantages.
