Understanding the Cloud
I think this line from your article really sums it all up: "Eventually users can focus on what the service delivers rather than how they are implemented or hosted." That is what we concerned ourselves with when we created GoGrid as a Cloud Infrastructure provider. What is that? Read here for a bit more info: http://blog.gogrid.com/2008/06/24/the-cloud-pyramid/.
We too believe that you as an IT professional or developer should just worry about WHAT you put in the Cloud and leave the hosting/infrastructure to the providers. However, this process must be easy, secure and reliable, as well as configurable and scalable. GoGrid (http://www.gogrid.com) does just that.
