Barry Nance is a software developer, application architect, consultant and author. He has more than 28 years of experience with a variety of computing platforms, networks, operating systems, application development methodologies and computing languages. He has a broad, deep knowledge of current and forthcoming hardware and software technologies.
As a chief architect, he's designed and help build major e-commerce applications, protocol-based communications systems, and application infrastructures. His clients include such companies Thomson Financial, Equifax and US Web/CKS.
Nance also runs a network computing laboratory containing several local and wide area networks, platforms and networking products.
Among his several books are Introduction to Networking, 4th Edition (Que, 1997), Client/Server LAN Programming (Que, 1994), and Network Programming in C (Que, 1991).
